The AEF, officially the '''Arterian Expeditionary Force''', is a faction and international superpower located in the Sandbox Region of the game. The AEF is a developed faction that possesses a large player count, and represents Arteria's Navy and Marine Corps. By virtue of its prominence, the Arteria holds limited expansionist views, aiming to support the territories of its allies but also actively seeking out servers to make claims on. More often the AEF upholds the value of individual freedoms and publicly opposes the annexation and/or invasion of servers by its adversaries, but the integrity of these views have often been called into question by the international community.

===Creationary War (August 2014) ===
The Assault Expeditionary Force was founded by [[Strayed]] in 2013 under the mane "Respect for All Individuals" after the Creationary War (There is some dispute if this was in fact the First Summer war, or if it was later). Very few screenshots of the war exist since battles during this era were seldom documented. This was considered the origin period of the AEF.

===Post War RFAI (2014 - 2015)===
After the Creationary War the RFAI became idle as [[Strayed]] was more focused on other gamemodes. He stopped playing Sandbox, and transitioned to Zombie Survival. The RFAI would remain dormant for a long period, to its members, it was presumed to be a dead group. Strayed took his mind off the group, even believing it to be dead.

When the [[First Summer War]] broke out Strayed returned to sandbox independently still disregarding the RFAI. He engaged in combat and helped defend players, and called on friends from the RFAI, however never officially commenced operations. As the war went on he realized the need of a server defense military. Despite his realization however, he continued on without it. He started making slow changes to the RFAI, like adding a small special forces detachment known as [[Delta Squad]]. However it was not until late 2014 that he fully rebooted the RFAI.

After several incidents regarding Salmon Pinwheel a second war broke out and violated the terms of surrender laid out during the Rebellion War. But after engaging in combat with Omegatrion on a server he started a grudge, and later befriended, and recruited him. Both talked about their pasts, and battles they fought in. On November 22, 2016, a Coalition of 11 nations launched an assault to liberate the server Dirtbox Warzone from Izakian occupation. The battle lasted until the early morning of November 24 ending with the defeat of the Izakians and the removal of IZK affiliated admins on the server. Izakia was to be a defense group and could not police of enforce policies on the server. Records are incomplete as there are numerous recollections of a separate battle taking place on a coastal map.

Operation: Open Hope was a campaign fronted by the RFAI and possibly GCAE to move away from sandbox politics for a brief period to focus on a hybrid gamemode known as BuildRP which combines aspects of DarkRP and Sandbox respectively. Records of which server was the base of operations remains unknown but the map was gm_freespace13. RFAI would gain local popularity on the server until the server was shut down for unknown reasons, forcing RFAI to return to sandbox.

Following his removal from the group, the Izakians demanded Omegation be reinstated into the RFAI or face open war. This was met with a full-scale invasion lasting until early the next morning. Amidst the chaos Strayed made the decision to barricade every window and entrance to the McDonalds only allowing allies inside. On July 7, 2020, tensions between every major factions had reached a boiling point. A formal declaration of war on AEF and the remainder of NATO was announced at 0:00 CST. With a massive a coalition aiming to demolish AEF.

The initial conflict [wip]

NATO forces regrouped to train additional forces on [nmd] for 2 weeks overhauling tanks (notably, the [[NMD Ghetto Mobile]]), missile systems, aircraft and infantry weapons to launch a counterattack on Colourful Crew when preparations were complete.

On the morning of the final battle, NATO factions made preparations to raid Colourful Crew. When the attack was launched, NATO and AEF forces took up positions on the far end of the map awaiting a response from IA. Simultaneously, sensitive IA discord chats were released in G10 (2020 femboy disaster), causing mass infighting in opposition discords. An announcement was made by IA announcing the dissolution of [something i forgot]. No opposition forces ever joined the server, and following the announcement of their disbanding an end to the war was called by NATO. Following this event AEF moved out of politics to work on other projects.

The initial conflict [wip]

NATO forces regrouped to train additional forces on [nmd] for 2 weeks overhauling tanks (notably, the [[NMD Ghetto Mobile]]), missile systems, aircraft and infantry weapons to launch a counterattack on Colourful Crew when preparations were complete.

On the morning of the final battle, NATO factions made preparations to raid Colourful Crew. When the attack was launched, NATO and AEF forces took up positions on the far end of the map awaiting a response from IA. Simultaneously, sensitive IA discord chats were released in G10 (2020 femboy disaster), causing mass infighting in opposition discords. An announcement was made by IA announcing the dissolution of [something i forgot]. No opposition forces ever joined the server, and following the announcement of their disbanding an end to the war was called by NATO. Following this event AEF moved out of politics to work on other projects.

The AEF is a developed faction that possesses a large player count, extensive infrastructure, and a well outfitted military force, upholding both a Navy and Marine Corps. By virtue of its prominence, the AEF holds limited expansionist views, aiming to support the territories of its allies but also actively seeking out servers to make claims on. More often the AEF upholds the value of individual freedoms and publicly opposes the annexation and/or invasion of servers by its adversaries, but the integrity of these views have often been called into question by the international community.

Very few screenshots of the war exist since battles during this era were seldom documented. This was considered the origin period of the AEF.

===Post War RFAI (2014 - 2015)===
After the Creationary War the RFAI became idle as [[Strayed]] was more focused on other gamemodes. He stopped playing Sandbox, and transitioned to Zombie Survival. The RFAI would remain dormant for a long period, to its members, it was presumed to be a dead group. Strayed took his mind off the group, even believing it to be dead.

The battle lasted until the early morning of November 24 ending with the defeat of the Izakians and the removal of IZK affiliated admins on the server. Izakia was to be a defense group and could not police of enforce policies on the server. Records are incomplete as there are numerous recollections of a separate battle taking place on a coastal map.

RFAI would gain local popularity on the server until the server was shut down for unknown reasons, forcing RFAI to return to sandbox.

On the morning of the final battle, NATO factions made preparations to raid Colourful Crew. When the attack was launched, NATO and AEF forces took up positions on the far end of the map awaiting a response from IA. Simultaneously, sensitive IA discord chats were released in G10 (2020 femboy disaster), causing mass infighting in opposition discords. An announcement was made by IA announcing the dissolution of [something i forgot]. No opposition forces ever joined the server, and following the announcement of their disbanding an end to the war was called by NATO. Following this event AEF moved out of politics to work on other projects.

The battle lasted until the early morning of November 24 ending with the defeat of the Izakians and the removal of IZK affiliated admins on the server. Izakia was to be a defense group and could not police of enforce policies on the server. Records are incomplete as there are numerous recollections of a separate battle taking place on a coastal map.

Though referred to officially as a peacekeeping operation, the actual success of this approach is widely disputed as the community is regularly seen as peaceful only escalating when a threatening presence is found on their server.

The war ended with AEF victory and the surrender of NRK forces on January 10th, 2019.

During the Summer of 2019, AEF along with other [[NATO]] states and [[IKR]] conducted a live fire training on the sandbox server Lenny Face Gaming, amidst the chaos the server map was changed to mcdonalds_mds, a very small map. Amidst the chaos Strayed made the decision to barricade every window and entrance to the McDonalds only allowing allies inside. The AEF [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klNMxwd94mo actually served hamburgers] during the fighting. There were many civilian casualties.

In mid 2020, a war broke out over control of the at the time popular server Apocalypse Build and Kill, which many factions saw as a fun alternative to ACF combat at the time.

On July 7, 2020, tensions between every major factions had reached a boiling point. A formal declaration of war on AEF and the remainder of NATO was announced at 0:00 CST. With a massive a coalition aiming to demolish AEF.

The initial conflict [wip]

NATO forces regrouped to train additional forces on [nmd] for 2 weeks overhauling tanks (notably, the [[NMD Ghetto Mobile]]), missile systems, aircraft and infantry weapons to launch a counterattack on Colourful Crew when preparations were complete.

On the morning of the final battle, NATO factions made preparations to raid Colourful Crew. When the attack was launched, NATO and AEF forces took up positions on the far end of the map awaiting a response from IA. Simultaneously, sensitive IA discord chats were released in G10 (2020 femboy disaster), causing mass infighting in opposition discords. An announcement was made by IA announcing the dissolution of [something i forgot]. No opposition forces ever joined the server, and following the announcement of their disbanding an end to the war was called by NATO. Following this event AEF moved out of politics to work on other projects.

The seeds for the Federal Manufacturing Corporation had been planted as early as 2016 after multiple incursions by [[Izakia|IZK]] and TPR onto GGG. Upset by the hubris of Izakian forces and multiple server crashes, a group of disgruntled GGG engineers would coalesce together in their distaste for the invaders and organize under the acronym FMC. Soon after due to policy changes with GGG staff, the members of FMC were forced to leave GGG altogether in an exodus that saw the faction moving to Paradigm Shift (then known as Dildo Buildo), FMC's membership swelled upon playing on Paradigm Shift, with the majority of combat and vehicle development taking place on that server.

It wasn't until IZK declared war on NRR, then FMC's ally, that the Executive Board decided to take its first offensive action. This would ultimately culminate in a [[FMC Patriotic War|long lasting and brutal conflict]] against IZK with FMC remaining largely dominant over unrelenting IZK forces for nearly a year.

FMC conducted direct combat operations only briefly with other groups after the war due to extensive infighting and an inability to coordinate amongst its membership, eventually FMC could be seen shifting away from large organized battles, instead focused primarily on sending its individual operatives to act as mercenaries for allies in battle, and further developing vehicles with which to kill itself.

Although bits of FMC equipment are still used and can be found on what's left of GMod's battlefields, FMC survives only in vestiges today, having converted to Daktank early on in 2019 after seeing the writing on the wall with ACF2's development.

At its core, FMC was loosely confederated and managed, being made from dozens of different designers with up to 30 independent members at its peak, the most notable of which being Almo (Horatius), [[Rebel Taxi]], Lufteh, Aki, Midnite D. Lite and TwistedTail.

In combat, FMC operatives were frequently outnumbered and outgunned by opponents due to their smaller pool of combat operatives to pull from, yet in most circumstances, were rarely outclassed in battle, with only a single 60t MBT lost in direct combat to IZK forces. This was largely due to the intellectual diversity of FMC's loose nature, providing them a strong technological advantage, a massive combined arsenal and semi standardized export equipment for annexed states. Personnel would frequently field their own vehicles for combat testing on the battlefield.

A feature on FMC tanks was the inclusion of an RK4 FCS suite allowing tanks to easily engage aircraft and act as NLOS artillery by providing a quick firing solution for the operator on his HUD without the E2 slewing the gun on target itself. This feature often afforded FMC complete air superiority over its opponents in addition to nullifying some of the mobility advantages of targets like mechs.

Some FMC equipment operated with multiple personnel, most prominently being helicopter gunners, TV guided missile operators and SPGs and their gunners. With a constant shortage of personnel however, deployment of such weapons was often rare and circumstantial.

Semi-modern vehicles were often frequently exported to client factions with the [[ET 60 Degasi|ET-60 Degasi]] being among the most commonly exported by them.

The most frequently deployed vehicle classes by FMC were 10t and 20t class attack helos, light attack planes, 45t class MBTs and 30t class MBTs, and rarely 60t and 80t class MBTs. FMC was one of the first factions to employ dual-axis type gun mounts, alongside NRR sometime in mid 2017, though their usage was limited to only a handful of designs out of fear of theft.

FMC advised its operatives to not use it's modern equipment on unfamiliar servers so as to prevent foreign entities from stealing dupes; something that led to common complaints from operatives but would later be grimly reaffirmed by spies to not be unwarranted. By May 2017 it was confirmed that FMC tanks and equipment had in fact been stolen at some point during the IZK Conflict by an unknown actor.

Unfortunately as a consequence of them complaining about this to Steve, IZK saw their dupes wiped following later confirmation by spies planted within IZK.

To also help achieve this end, the group would hand out the E2s it had on hand in addition to older models of vehicles to any factions or players deemed worthy. FMC prized itself on operating vehicles that had a very low server footprint and most FMC vehicles used only a couple dozen constraints at most. This type of building was considered invaluable for any type of organized armored combat within Garry's Mod as its rather easy to make a server suffer.
