UPSR-NRK War

The UPSR-NRK War is an ongoing conflict between the Kestrel-Astria Treaty Organization, and the Krasnow Pact with most battles taking place on the Koupii sandbox server. The conflict stemmed from increasing hostilities between the Nationalist Republic of Kalestania, and the Pruvoslavian Union over the course of several weeks predating the war.

Prelude (10/21 - 11/20)

Prior to open conflict, Kalestania and Pruvoslavia would generally be on neutral terms with one another, with messages in Factions Wiki Curators backing this. However Kalestanian public opinion on Pruvoslavia would gradually decline during early-mid November, with data showing that by November 20 the Kalestanian public opinion of Pruvoslavia would drop to a -20% approval rating, and would further decline after the opening battles of the war.

Outbreak of Hostilities (11/20)

On November 20, 2025, Jarck, the leader of Kalestania, launched an attack against Pruvoslavian forces on Koupii, a KMI-owned server and common faction hub. During this battle, Pruvoslavia notably used ESP ACF HUD displays in order to see enemies through walls, which is considered cheating by the wider community. Kalestanian forces dealt significant losses to Pruvoslavia, but both sides claimed victory following the battle. The Pruvoslavian Supreme Soviet recognized this as a declaration of war by the Kestrel-Astria Treaty Organization, marking the beginning of the conflict. Sparta published a YouTube video following the battle, claiming victory, which was disputed by IW member Omegatrion publishing his own YouTube video in response, showing that KATO forces destroyed more UPSR tanks. Omegatrion accused Sparta of cutting off a handful of clips in his video moments before he killed him and his members on several occasions to hide their deaths, and provided clips of his own perspective to support his claims. Sparta disputed kill counts in return, and has maintained his victory claim.

Current (11/21 - Current)

As of November 25, the war has de-escalated. Both parties have recorded, edited, and posted videos from their perspective of the November 20th engagement, with both parties making short/long comments either explaining their methodology or insulting the opposing party.

Along with this, it's been noted that there have been several occasions of the Kalestanian leader, Jarck attempting to join Sparta on Koupii; not wanting to engage in a 1v1 or in an engagement where they're at a disadvantage, Sparta would often leave after seeing the join message. This repeated action has sprouted scrutiny against Sparta, with some criticizing Sparta for being a "coward" and others criticizing Jarck for giving Pruvoslavia no time to recover.

However, since the November 20th engagement, both parties have not engaged with each other.

After Koupii was invaded by the forces of the Arterian Expeditionary Force, the owner of the server, Finnik, proceeded to take the server down to avoid further AEF occupation. Koupii has not been up since then, due to this, the war between UPSR and NRK has come to an end for the time being. Despite the Armed Forces of Kalestania having "Operation: CATO'S SLEDGEHAMMER" planned and ready to execute, the operation was deemed not possible due to UPSR being banned from nearly every server.
