| The ''Sandbox Continental War'' was an up-scale war taking place for exactly 3 months. A majority of factions in the meta took part in the ''Sandbox Continental War'' and the small percentage of factions that did not participate, knew about the war. There was a large amount of leaks, casualties, claims, and server shutdowns throughout the war. The war ended due to the collapse of the [[Inner Sphere Alliance]], which in turn resulted in the surrender of ISA, a major reform of the faction, and change in leadership.

| It is worth noting, that when the Inner Sphere Alliance was formed, Raikiri, the leader at the time, was new to Garry's Mod alongside the faction meta, and had no clue what servers were and weren't claimed. Due to Rai's lack of knowledge on claims, ISA claimed multiple servers that had already been claimed, which resulted in negative responses from claimants, and factions.

| The ''Sandbox Continental War'' started on October 9th, 2017, two days after the formation of the [[Inner Sphere Alliance]], due to ISA attacking [[Cat-Gopher Industries|C.G.I.]] scouts on [[Trump's Hair]]. The next day, ISA deployed forces to Dirtbox and Saul Slugman's PAC Haven with intents to conquer them. Not wanting to be dragged into an unnecessary war, [[Serria]] signed a Non-Aggression pact with ISA on the 12th. Not long after, this agreement would be broken (on the 15th), when ISA staged an attack on Serrian forces. Due to this attack, Serria not only declared war on ISA, they also created the Anti-ISA pact to rally support against the faction. On that same day, ABMC allied with C.G.I. and joined the war. UNR also attempted an incursion on [[Trump's Hair]], which resulted in the cease of Serrian air operations.

| === Initial Conflict ===

| ISA eventually became a threat when they began to attempt claims on Trump's Hair. On the 9th, ISA forces attacked [https://the-rfai.fandom.com/wiki/C.G.I. Cat-Gopher Industries (C.G.I.)] scouts. Due to the battle that ensued, C.G.I. declared war on ISA. The next day, ISA deployed forces to the Dirtbox Warzone and Saul Slugman's PAC Haven (SSPH) servers with the intent to conquer them. Not wanting to be involved in an unnecessary war, [https://the-rfai.fandom.com/wiki/Serria K.S.] signs a non-aggression pact with ISA on the 12th. However, this agreement would be broken on the 15th, when ISA forces staged an attack on K.S. forces. Due to this, not only did K.S. declare war on ISA, but they also created the Anti-ISA pact to rally support against the faction. | === More Powers Get Involved ===

| After UMU got involved in Trump's Hair, they formed an alliance with ISA on the 16th due to their similar goals. On the Cereal Box ACF server, ISA bombed [https://the-rfai.fandom.com/wiki/Izakia Izakia (IZK)]'s fortifications without warning on the 17th. Multiple IZK members were building new tanks and aircraft during the bombing. This attack caused IZK to join the war against ISA. The first few battles between ISA and IZK resulted in ISA victories due to the element of surprise, armored mechs, and bombers overpowering outdated IZK armor. However, on the 18th, the first victory was achieved over ISA in a battle fought on the official IZK server. However, there would be very few victories against ISA throughout the course of the war. The next day, Our Happy Picnic (OHAPIC), initially supporting K.S., turned their backs on them and joined ISA in the war. This caused C.G.I. to declare war on OHAPIC. On that same day, due to their constant history of rule-breaking, many ISA members are banned from Trump's Hair. UMU attacked C.G.I. forces on the 20th, causing C.G.I. to declare war on them. UMU also made statements against and was hostile towards K.S. forces. However, UMU retracted all statements and withdrew from Trump's Hair on the 22nd due to them being significantly weaker than ISA. UMU officially surrendered to C.G.I. on the 23rd.

| == Mid War ==

| === First Major Blow to ISA ===

| On the 24th, ISA claimed that they conquered Trump's Hair, Dirtbox Warzone, and SSPH. Ironically, later that day, the entirety of ISA was banned from Trump's Hair for their constant rule-breaking. Although they would later be unbanned on a later date, this dealt a colossal blow to ISA. Seeing this as an opportunity to be the dominant power on Trump's Hair, UMU returned to the server and claimed that they controlled the airspace. They also threatened K.S. by stating that they would aim rocket batteries at their land. Later that day, ISA withdrew from Dirtbox Warzone after being defeated in a decisive infantry battle. C.G.I. then claimed the server after their withdrawal.

| === IZK Goes on the Offensive ===

| IZK, joined by some C.G.I. forces, followed up by going on the offensive. They chased down ISA to the Cereal Box server on the 29th. The next day, a significant victory was earned by allied forces against ISA, using new ACF technology. Initially, allied forces were pinned down by armored ISA vehicles. However, reinforcements came, and they were able to take down the entire ISA base on the 30th. IZK, realizing its shortcomings from its first few encounters with ISA, utilized heavy turrets and naval vessels instead of their light, mobile tanks. IZK Anti-Mech Turrets were able to shred ISA armored mechs, which led IZK Zhukovs, Sturnikov 120s, and rocket artillery to dominate inferior ISA tanks. However, on November 2nd, ISA overwhelmed C.G.I. forces. Although ISA victories were extremely common, it was discovered that ISA was using exploits to gain unlimited health and the ability to see any player anywhere in this battle.

| == Late War ==

| Outnumbered 3 to 1, on November 6th, C.G.I. was able to defeat ISA in a major battle. Later that day, UMU declared war on [https://the-rfai.fandom.com/wiki/Nacion_Imperial_de_America ETAM]. However, ETAM also surrendered to ISA. Despite this surrender, on the 13th, ETAM led a surprise attack, causing significant ISA casualties. UMU came to provide reinforcements, and using a T-72 tank, 3 ETAM tanks were destroyed, and ETAM was defeated. On the 17th, C.G.I. and ISA achieve partial peace and agree not to fight on most servers. This changed on the 22nd when ISA went against the agreement. ISA, along with UMU, attacked C.G.I. and ETAM forces. Although the fight was initially in C.G.I. and ETAM's favor as they rendered UMU defeated, ISA came back with overwhelming reinforcements and ACF technology. To make things worse for them, ISA also started using tactics like prop pushing. Sometime in December, IZK would sign a peace treaty with ISA, which stipulated that IZK would keep its occupation of Cereal Box in exchange for allowing ISA to continue its military operations.

| === Instability of ISA ===

| Around this time, one of the founders of ISA, Captain Cancer, leaked the T88 publicly, along with the Raikiri mech. This was a major blow because of the T88's strength. Captain Cancer would then leave ISA and create his own group. Everything changed on December 9th, as ISA suddenly collapsed. Although it was not made apparent, there was an internal conflict going on, resulting in their faction falling apart, forcing them to surrender to allied forces. Due to the leaks and instability, ISA fell apart, and leadership went to Rebel Taxi, who put ISA through major reforms. On that same day, allied forces were able to go on Trump's Hair and secure it once and for all. On the 19th, UMU and ETAM sign a non-aggression pact.
