ABMC, officially the AB Militia Corps is a militia faction in the Sandbox Region of the game. Considered to be among the oldest groups in the game they have seen combat for over four years. Led by BlubberyOyster4 and S0mebody10.
History
Early Founding
During the Second Summer War , a pair of brothers on a shared steam account would discover Snyde.net and the RFAI. Inspired by the good a group could do for a community, the brothers would gather individuals deemed unfit for recruitment by the RFAI and create their own faction with the aim of helping defend the server and it's community. The newly formed band of "children" and "misfits" were met with harsh criticism by veteran members of the RFAI, the most notable critique was that the "group" didn't have proper tags or a steam group. This prompted an immediate consolidation of the group's identity, formalizing the tag "ABMC" and the name "Andy and Bryan's Manufacturing Company", the ABMC would then go on to make a myriad of crude wiremod contraptions and weapons for private-use and export to the RFAI and other anti-minge groups. The ABMC would steadily grow in strength and even get some influence while the previous critics in the RFAI would still refer to the new ABMC as "minges with paperwork".
Second Summer War
After a couple of weeks making weapons to export to smaller and lesser-known groups, the ABMC's small band of soldiers exploded in size after successful recruiting efforts and taking in ex-RFAI members who became disillusioned with the strict rules of RFAI, this increase in size and prevalence garnered much attention from the other factions of the time, which prompted a name change to better reflect what the group had become; rebranding as the "Andy and Bryan's Militia Corps. The ABMC would continue to send it's troopers to fight alongside the RFAI and patrol multiple servers, even being invited to large training events and faction gatherings throughout the summer.
The Tri-force Minge Event
During the Second Summer War on an unknown date, ABMC troopers encountered a user on Snyde.net only known as ">>>GREENTEXT" who demanded to know if everyone on the server could "tri-force". When the general populace of the server inquired as to what "tri-forcing" meant, >>>GREENTEXT and his friends loudly declared "BRO YOU CAN'T EVEN TRI-FORCE!!!" and then began to flood the entirety of gm_construct with large plastic cubes, making the map unplayable and with no staff online to stop them, >>>GREENTEXT and his friends were free to spam cubes and flood the map. This prompted the ABMC to quickly respond by sending up hoverball ships to rescue server randoms and bring them back to the ABMC base which served as a safe "air pocket" in the now ruined server. Hoverball ships were quickly prop-pushed in an attempt to bring them out of the sky and the flood of cubes were now higher than the map's buildings which brought an end to the search and rescue operations, ABMC offered the interior of their base as a safe haven while BlubberyOyster4 attempted to contact Snyde's Staff or members of the RFAI with staff privileges. ABMC troopers would hold the line against the flood of cubes until >>>GREENTEXT raided the base and spawned more cubes forcing a full retreat and another emergency evacuation, this time using a Wiremod teleporter to send players to hide in the skybox of gm_construct. Hours after the second relocation, >>>GREENTEXT and his friends made their own player teleporter and pushed into the skybox, deleting their props in order to spam more props in the skybox refuge, ABMC troopers tried to eliminate them as quickly as possible before they spawned too many cubes, but were quickly losing ground. After a few hours of fighting the prop spammers and sheltering the server populace, Snyde's staff team remotely banned all associated users and removed their props from the map which prompted immediate cheering from everyone on the server and this event was a major early victory for the ABMC on the anti-minge front while proving the capabilities of the young group.
RFAI - ABMC War
After serving alongside the RFAI in “Operation Second Sun”, the group would accidentally involve itself in attempted coup of their leader, the RFAI promptly acted and declared war on December 13, 2015, against a scrambling ABMC. After numerous failed attempts to fight back, the ABMC leadership would develop a laughable reputation that would forever scar the group. At this time, the ABMC experienced internal disputes that lead to a temporary split in the group, one sided backed by the RFAI and other that wished to keep fighting, not wanting their first war to be a loss. The splinter faction would carry-on under the name "Blubbery's Navy" and continue weapons development and even stockpile a limited supply of ACF equipment, although this stockpile would be neglected in favor of Wiremod and E2 based weapons as ACF hadn't become mainstream yet. BlubberyOyster4 would engage in a one-man mission to OmegaArena with the goal of attacking the RFAI leader Strayed with a new explosive E2 weapon called the "Spitfire Mk. 1", but the weapon would fail because it required the HL2 Pulse Rifle to work and OmegaArena had all of the HL2 weapons restricted. Realizing he was outnumbered and outgunned, BlubberyOyster4 would make a final stand against the RFAI forces amassing on the server until Strayed no-clipped into the building and offered a cease-fire. This cease-fire would be negotiated into a full peace agreement by the Republic of Manila whose leader ironically was the one who proposed the original RFAI coup that sparked the war, the ABMC and it's splinter faction would be reunited after agreeing to the terms.
UberHannover War
Following the end of RFAI-ABMC war, a faction calling itself UberHannover declared war on the CSUNC for supposed ideological differences. This marked one of the earliest wide scale hostile incursions into Sandbox from DarkRP and UberHannover's fighting strength was unknown. Seeing an opportunity to mend the rift between the ABMC and the faction community at large, BlubberyOyster4 made contact with the leader of UberHannover, supplying fake war plans, defective weaponry, and fully ascertaining their member count and ability so a full report could be made to the CSUNC and RFAI as a sign of good faith. This early attempt at espionage and Intel gathering was a cornerstone of ABMC's military restructuring and provided a much needed renewal of public relations.
UberHannover would be swiftly driven from the Meta after a series of no-show battles where CSUNC awaited their arrival, while according to ABMC intelligence, UberHannover forces would never appear as they were simply a role-playing group. Ironically instead of UberHannover troops, the CSUNC would encounter another outfit of German-themed soldiers belonging to New Germania, an unknown faction lead by Führer Elias Schild who was looking to settle a score with Kaiser Moltke of UberHannover.
Ares Union Riots and Scandal
After establishing more trade with New Germania for tanks as well as shared weapons development and improving relations with the RFAI, diplomats from the RFAI and the Ares Combat Command (ACC) would extend an invitation to the ABMC to join their alliance and security pact called the "Ares Union". ABMC would send troopers to the ACC's home server of Bill's Sandbox, but would discover the majority of the server was openly anti-faction despite the reassurances of the server owner who welcomed all factions. The days leading up to the next AU summit meeting was filled with anti-faction sentiments, though ABMC forces were spared most of it as Troopers were ordered to stand down and not reciprocate the hostility, which warranted much respect from server regulars. The situation would take a turn only a couple of days before the summit when the RFAI leader, Strayed approached ABMC with concerns about New Germania's established presence in the Meta and discussed at length war plans against the still unknown adversarial empire. While ABMC would agree to help the RFAI in a military operation to force New Germania off of the mutual RFAI-ABMC home server of Snyde.net, a Steam error would reveal a preemptively made war poster which alerted both New Germania as well as the delegates of the Ares Union. The president of the Ares Union and leader of the ACC, Mark, would charge ABMC for unauthorized used of Article 5 while anti-ABMC elements of the RFAI would deny all involvement and use ABMC as a scapegoat, a private kangaroo court would be held on Jul 20, 2016 in an underground bunker hidden from public knowledge. Despite being the target of the war plans, Elias Schild defended the ABMC against the charges knowing that the RFAI would be more likely to be preparing for war against his empire, but because of a lack of evidence for RFAI's involvement and ABMC's still soured reputation, ABMC was charged for wrongfully invoking Article 5.
When the AU summit meeting was finally held, the first matter was a vote for ABMC to be immediately suspended from the Ares Union in which the notion would be immediately passed. BlubberyOyster4 would excuse himself from the summit hall expressing his feelings about the unfortunate outcome, but was allowed to roam the halls of the Ares Union offices in which he leisurely smashed out all the windows, he wouldn't be kicked from the private server until he crashed through the skylight of the summit hall which disrupted the meeting and caused panic amongst all the delegates in attendance. After being expelled from the AU, ABMC and NG would collaborate to investigate the practices of the Ares Union as well as their strict imposed restrictions on their member groups and their forced presence on Bill's Sandbox despite the outcry of the server populace. BlubberyOyster4 would encourage the most vocal personalities of the anti-faction sentiment to focus their protest and hostility directly towards the president of the Ares Union rather than the groups caught up in its red tape, meanwhile Elias Schild talked to the leadership of multiple AU members about the myriad of impossible laws and expectations placed upon them. Within a matter of weeks, after key members left the union and focused protests against the AU president from both the server populace and dedicated resistance groups, the Ares Union was shut down and disbanded.
The Red Union crisis
For undisclosed reasons, an enigmatic and isolationist faction called The Red Union (TRU) declared war on FIDE, an RFAI ally. All attempts at communication and diplomacy failed and no discernible reason for the sudden hostilities could be ascertained, with this knowledge FIDE responded by putting their armed forces on full alert and readiness with the RFAI and other allies on standby should the need arise.
The next morning on Aug 12, 2016, the TRU forces retracted their declaration of war after BlubberyOyster4 forced the ABMC to intervene diplomatically and while unable to figure out their original intent was able to negotiate a cessation of hostilities at no cost to FIDE or the RFAI. The leadership and top commanders of FIDE were left astonished by the sudden peace agreement and ABMC's ability to negotiate it. The potential war ended before either side rallied their forces.
The Federation of New Poland Massacre and resulting skirmishes
The Federation of New Poland was a small fledgling group created by NotGpless and quickly agreed to be a CSUNC satellite state, this act of sudden expansion didn't sit well with Elias Schild of New Germania who sought to claim New Poland as a colony. A vote was made to settle the dispute of the two near-warring powers with the aim being to allow the group members of FNP to decide to stay with CSUNC or join NG as an imperial colony, however this vote would be flooded with fraudulent votes from New Germanian saboteurs and the CSUNC and FNP leadership would purge the FNP steam group.
On August 15, 2016, Elias Schild now enraged by this action declared this act as a massacre and pleaded with the ABMC, RFAI, FIDE and the member states of the distant Genesis Force pact (GFOR) who made a monument of the massacre featuring the usernames of every user purged from the FNP steam group. The combined coalition planned a widespread assault on Dirtbox Warzone and a password protected CSUNC Training Server. The leaders of NG, ABMC and RFAI met on the NG private server "Neu Berlin" to coordinate their forces through steam messages while planning around a war table used in a vain attempt to dictate the coalition forces across the multiple server fronts. Once IZK forces joined in the defense of CSUNC, BlubberyOyster4 and [RFAI] Strayed abandoned their positions at the table to lead their forces on the frontlines despite the Elias' protests to stay. IZK up to this point was believed to be a small CSUNC proxy group but the battle proved otherwise as it became apparent that IZK had increased their number tenfold and beat back the combined forces of RFAI, NG, UTF, UMU and ABMC all while a CSUNC soldier was never seen in combat, reportedly it was a solid wave of Izakian soldiers. The second battle was a New Germanian led operation to invade the CSUNC training server and it was compromised of a small team of Elias Schild, BlubberyOyster4, and True Slav and MicroSchemov of GFOR however no CSUNC counterattack or defense ever came and instead the infiltration team was met with console messages from the server host asking why we'd even bother. The ABMC became disillusioned with this effort as the war was a constant stalemate between NG and CSUNC and ABMC's continued involvement wasn't sustainable.
Operation: Open Hope Frontier
A lesser known operation conducted by the ABMC to piggyback on RFAI's attempt to explore previously uncontacted servers, Operation: Open Hope Frontier was one of ABMC's first endeavors in server exploration and sending expeditionary forces to make contact with new player bases and communities. One of the challenges the ABMC faced was a previously uncontacted group called "C.I.B.W.P" declaring an open Kill on Sight (KOS) rule against any RFAI forces that continued to re-explore Bill's Sandbox, BlubberyOyster4 met with their supposed leader, Timelord Sheep and talked them out of their hostile actions against the RFAI expeditionary forces. This operation and experimentation with expeditionary forces would be short lived with only 2 servers being explored, Born2Run Build RP and Lenny Face Gaming. The overly ambitious operation would be cancelled with only one map of the explored servers made on Aug 27, 2016, but would lay the groundwork for future ABMC first contact policy with new groups and communities.
Becoming the sole presence on Snyde
With the rapid changes in the faction community rapidly shifting to fighting wars and having the player numbers to overpower other groups, the RFAI ran into an issue with claiming that Snyde.net was their home server. Snyde.net had been the biggest and most centralized hub for faction activity and the genesis of many factions but the player counts dwindled to the point where the RFAI could no longer sustain the recruitment quota they needed to rival emerging superpowers, and anchoring themselves to Snyde left them open to attack from rival groups that would also disrupt the normal activity of the server. On Sep 10, 2016, the RFAI command made the decision fully relinquish their claim of Snyde.net to the charge of the ABMC, making ABMC the sole faction operating on the server. The members of the ABMC would rise through the server staff ranks and become operators, moderators and admins.
RFAI threat to retake Snyde
On October 25, 2016, the RFAI and FIDE leadership contacted the ABMC with a threat that they would take back their claim on Snyde due to a perceived recklessness and immaturity on ABMC's part. The sudden change of heart is still unknown to this day, but according to initial threats, their proposed full-force military operation would be called "Operation: Southwind" (this name would be recycled for another operation).
Through hours of negotiating with [FIDE] Plat and contacting the former member states of the long defunct Ares Union to launch a formal protest against the RFAI, the RFAI and FIDE leadership would change their stance once again and allow ABMC to keep Snyde on the condition that the ABMC will never contact RFAI ever again or play on the same servers alongside them.
UMU Hostilities and the Battle of Snyde
Relations between ABMC and their GFOR ally, UMU, began to break down. After serving alongside each other in the invasion of Dirtbox and the failed infiltration of the CSUNC training server, BlubberyOyster4 and True Slav made strides to form great relations between ABMC and UMU, but ABMC found a series of strange propaganda posters from UMU written in the Urtanesian language. Efforts were made to partially translate them into English which proved difficult as their language was a mix of different Slavic ones, but the best translation of one of the posters simply said "Snyde is Urtanesian" while depicting a UMU soldier standing triumphantly. The translations created an immediate rift between UMU and ABMC as all requests to clarify the meaning of the posters were met with cryptic responses which in turn lead to a flashpoint.
Between Oct 29, 2016 - Nov 5, 2016, multiple skirmishes broke out between ABMC and UMU forces on Snyde, ABMC was outnumbered and outgunned but still managed an equal K:D Ratio over the invading UMU forces and the stalemate wouldn't be broken until New Germania sent reinforcements to back ABMC. The final battle broke out when UMU attempted to attack Snyde with ACF tanks, however due to Snyde's broken multiparent physics and ABMC anti-tank barriers, they were rendered in-effective. The battle continued for hours with ABMC supported by New Germania while UMU used high-yield ACF explosives to "nuke" large portions of the map, at one point even causing a server crash. The fighting would stop when a UMU soldier offered to surrender and then strangely enough began to negotiate a ceasefire without [UMU] True Slav's permission, highly confused by the incredibly unlikely turn of events and True Slav's silence, Blubbery would offer a small walled off section of Snyde's gm_construst map for when ever UMU came to play on the server. True Slav would take this gracious offer and ABMC and UMU relations resumed as normal.
