The Technology Engineering Coalition, More commonly referred to as TEC Was an alliance purposed to the United Commonwealth from the Unified Defense Force's second in command, Ally For Hire due to their
mutual disliking of the New Ares Treaty Organization and was formed around July 2020. TEC gained the attraction of many other clans such as the Red Sun Military Forces [RSMF], Mobile Assault Force [MAF], the United Darmanian Republic [UDR], The Imperium [IMR], Sovinia [SOVN], as well as Junebug. The flag was made by Ratakis, the leader of MAF.
It's unknown who created the name "Technology Engineering Coalition" but it is most likely to have been either Duff (UDR), Ratakis (MAF), or Snowblizzard (UDF)
UNC/UDF - NFU War
The UNC/UDF - NFU War started when the United Commonwealth's RASC division found NFU operatives on the server “Apex Networks”. The UNC, which was hungry to create a surprise attack, deployed forces on the 15th of May, 2020. The reason behind this attack was to get revenge on a recently repelled attack by the NFU on MEWCH Sandbox. During the battle, there were several brief battles in the city of Freespace. The UNC was decisively victorious in these battles, forcing the NFU underground.
On the fourth day of battle, the NFU had called in support from the IZK. This prompted X GONN, from the UNC to contact Ally for Hire, from the UDF to level the playing field. During this alliance, the UNC, UDF, and a member from SOVN named Chiyo, would develop ACF technology with the newest addition to the mod ACF 3. During these long nights of innovation, they would come up with the first of many revolutions to weapon systems. The 40mm HE grenade spam, which consisted of nine 40mm grenade launchers.
This weapon system was capable of destroying Izakian aircraft and tanks, which ultimately won the war for UNC/UDF. After the battles were over the UNC occupied Apex for the majority of June and solidifying it by getting staff roles. This occupation wasn’t completely peaceful and saw several skirmishes with the NFU forces. These forces would diminish as they resulted in rule-breaking, causing them to be banned. The occupation would end, however when TEC would declare war on NATO.
The TEC-NATO War "World War III"
EC, over the course of 21 days committed gmod-wide war on all NATO forces, attacking whenever possible and issuing surrender terms. Many vehicles and ideas were created over the course of this war, a notable one being the beginning of ACF3 stealth put on many TEC aircraft. The setCollissionGroup exploit was also used by TEC and henceforth patched a short while after the war ended. Due to a lack of the already-leaving NATO's tech production and TEC incredibley high tech production, TEC maintained a massive advantage throughout the course of the war, taking minimal losses to NATO forces. There was about 5-7 battles total ranging from Apoc, to Colourful Crew, to Blitz Gaming which all primarily ended in TEC victories excluding 1-2 battles on Apoc where NATO had Petrograd backup. Near the end of the war an offensive operation was planned however its time and location were leaked to Petrograd from a NATO spy inside of TEC, DroxiKnight. This shattered morale and with Petrograd issuing surrender terms, which were agreed to be denied by council earlier, caused TEC to coup their leader Ally For Hire, these actions caused TEC to disband.
Aftermath and Legacy
Towards the end of TEC, UNC and UDF would merge into one faction, reuniting the two after years of separation due to a split caused by NATO. This faction would be called the Royal Eskeylian Military, known to the rest of the community as REM. REM would join the Imperial Alliance, which was an alliance created before the foundation of TEC, the Imperial Alliance consisted of UDF, MAF, IMR, and Junebug, with REM joining shortly after the TEC war.
